Refund & Return Policy
1. Scope and current availability
GiftEngine is operated by Dawid Kuprowski, an individual based in Poland. Contact: support@giftengine.net.
GiftEngine is publicly available for Windows. No payment is required for the Free plan, including text-to-speech, or the GTA 5 Chaos Mod. Pro subscriptions can be purchased only in the desktop application. The payment provisions below apply to paid GiftEngine purchases made through Paddle.
GiftEngine supplies digital software and services, not physical goods. There is no physical item to return. This does not limit any right to withdraw from a contract, obtain a refund, or seek another remedy.
2. Paddle purchases
For orders placed through Paddle, Paddle acts as the authorised reseller and Merchant of Record. Paddle processes payment-related support and refunds. GiftEngine provides application and technical support.
Refunds are governed by applicable law and the Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Refund Policy applicable to your transaction. Nothing in this policy reduces mandatory consumer rights or any additional rights that apply to your purchase.
GiftEngine does not offer a separate unconditional money-back guarantee. Under Paddle's general policy, purchases are not refundable unless a statutory or other applicable entitlement exists or Paddle approves a discretionary refund.
3. Cancelling a subscription
You can cancel through the Paddle Customer Portal using the "Manage subscription" link in your transaction email, or request cancellation at paddle.net.
Ordinary cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period. You retain paid access until that period ends, and the subscription will not renew. Cancellation alone does not create an entitlement to a refund for the current period.
Statutory withdrawal and other refund rights are separate from ordinary cancellation. Deleting the application or requesting deletion of a GiftEngine account should not be relied on as a substitute for cancelling the subscription through Paddle.
4. Statutory withdrawal and regional rights
Eligible consumers may have a statutory right to withdraw. For example, Paddle's policy describes a 14-day withdrawal period for qualifying EU, EEA, and UK purchases. Eligibility, the start of the period, and exceptions depend on the transaction, the product, and applicable law; the same rules do not apply to every purchase worldwide.
For eligible subscriptions, the withdrawal right generally concerns the initial purchase rather than every monthly renewal. Trials and regional rules can affect entitlement. Refer to the country-specific provisions of Paddle's policy for your transaction.
For digital content, a withdrawal right can be lost only when the applicable legal conditions are met, including any required express consent to early supply and acknowledgement of losing the right. Merely creating an account or accepting these pages does not by itself waive statutory rights. Digital services may be subject to different rules.
Where available, eligible EU consumers can use the withdrawal option in Paddle's Customer Portal. You may also notify Paddle through its support channels. Mandatory rights for defective or non-conforming products remain available even when a withdrawal period has ended.
5. Discretionary refunds
Paddle's policy allows discretionary refund requests within 14 days of the transaction date. A request within that period does not guarantee a refund. Paddle considers requests individually and may approve a full refund, approve a partial refund, or decline the request.
This discretionary process does not replace statutory rights. There is no blanket rule in this GiftEngine policy that all rights to a refund end after 14 days.
6. Technical problems and product defects
If a technical problem prevents you from using purchased features as described, contact support@giftengine.net with the affected account, a description of the problem, and relevant error details. Do not include secrets or full payment card details.
If the problem cannot be resolved, contact Paddle with the details and any support correspondence. Paddle's policy provides for refunds for qualifying material technical or product defects in accordance with applicable consumer law. Other statutory remedies are not excluded.
7. Requesting and receiving a refund
Use the support link in your Paddle receipt or billing page, or visit paddle.net and select "Request refund". Supply the information needed to identify the transaction and explain the request. Paddle determines and processes the refund under the terms and legal rights that apply.
Under Paddle's policy, eligible refunds are made using the original payment method where possible and within 14 days of approval. Eligible EU withdrawals are refunded within 14 days of receipt of the withdrawal request, as described in Paddle's policy. Your payment provider may have additional posting times.
Access to the product or paid entitlement covered by a refund ends in accordance with the applicable refund terms. Refunding a purchase does not necessarily erase independent records that must be retained for legal purposes.
8. Policy versions and contact
The terms and policy applicable when you make a purchase govern that transaction, together with mandatory law. Later updates do not retroactively remove your rights.
